GREENBERG TRAURIG: Ginger Pigott spoke at MassMEDIC MedTech Virtual Town Hall

Greenberg Traurig issued the following announcement on May 21.

Ginger Pigott of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP participated as a speaker in the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council’s (MassMEDIC) MedTech Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

The May event included topics such as:

  • The New World: Adapting Medical Device Clinical Trials in a Global Pandemic and Beyond
  • Litigation Trends/Impacts from COVID 19 and Immunity from Products Liability Lawsuits
  • Keeping Product Development Plans on Track during Uncertainty
Hosted by MassMEDIC, theMedtech Virtual TownHall is a weekly video conference for the members of the MedTech Community. According to MassMEDIC’ website, the weekly virtual gatherings are intended to keep their members up to date and share knowledge on the current issues impacting healthcare and the medical tech industry. The virtual TownHalls provide a regular opportunity for networking and discussion during COVID 19.

Pigott, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office, is vice chair of the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and focuses her practice on products liability litigation with an emphasis on the defense of complex medical device and pharmaceutical products. She handles high-stakes, single-plaintiff cases (including through trial) and complex litigation, including MDLs, coordinated state actions and class actions working as both national and regional counsel. She also works with companies to reduce and eliminate litigation risk and has been instrumental in achieving early resolution by way of alternative dispute resolution and dispositive motions in a number of cases.
