Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Kevin D. Finley has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the California nonprofit organization, the John M. Langston Bar Association of Los Angeles. As a Board Member, Mr. Finley will help further the organization’s mission to empower leadership, advance the professional development of its membership, and promote the administration of justice in the Black community and the community at large.

“I am honored the Langston Bar Association has selected me as Board Member for the 2020 term,” said Mr. Finley. “I look forward to having more of a hands-on role within the organization, including working with our recently-launched relief fund to support law students and provide essential resources to those affected by the Covid-19 crisis. It is a privilege to sit on a Board with so many thoughtful leaders who strive to regularly implement programs that engage and assist community members through these challenging times.”

Mr. Finley is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Jackson Lewis. His practice focuses on representing management in all types of employment disputes including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, wrongful termination, and wage and hour cases in state and federal court. Mr. Finley also provides preventive advice and counsel to employers on a diverse range of workplace issues.

Mr. Finley earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While attending law school, Mr. Finley served as an Editor for the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review and competed on the trial advocacy competition team. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable William H. Steele, U.S. District for the Southern District of Alabama.
