MGUIREWOODS: McGuireWoods’ Sabrina Beldner Honored Among Los Angeles ‘Women of Influence’

Trophy

McGuireWoods issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.

McGuireWoods partner Sabrina A. Beldner has been selected for the 2019 L.A. Biz “Women of Influence” list, honoring women in the region’s business and nonprofit communities.

Dubbed by clients as their “Swiss Army Knife” for her versatility and effectiveness in high-stakes employment matters, Beldner advises clients in employment-related individual, class and collective claims and traditional labor law matters. She counsels clients across industries in federal courts and represents management in National Labor Relations Board proceedings. She also conducts high-level employee misconduct investigations and management training on preventing unlawful employment practices.

“I am honored to be recognized among this accomplished group of businesswomen who serve as mentors to the next generation of women professionals,” Beldner said. “Their contributions to the business and civic communities are truly inspiring.”

Beldner serves on McGuireWoods’ Recruiting and Diversity & Inclusion Committees and chairs the firm’s LGBTQ Lawyers Network. Her community involvement has included volunteering for the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center and The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ people under age 25.

The Los Angeles Business Journal honored Beldner among the city’s “Most Influential Minority Attorneys” and Lawdragon twice recognized her as a top Up and Comer on its “Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” list published by Human Resources Executive magazine. The National LGBT Bar Association also selected her for its inaugural class of Top 40 Lawyers Under 40.

“This honor affirms what Sabrina’s clients and peers already know — that she is an outstanding advocate for her clients and a champion for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and the community,” said Ava Lias-Booker, chair of McGuireWoods’ Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “We are proud that she has received this well-deserved honor.”
