In addition, Greene advises on internal employment and regulatory investigations, risk management, compliance, corporate governance and corrective measures. She joins McGuireWoods from Kirkland & Ellis.
“Tanya has a stellar reputation for skillfully managing complex and sensitive litigation matters,” said Robert Muckenfuss, chair of McGuireWoods’ Complex Commercial Litigation Department. “She is a fierce advocate for her clients and enhances the considerable capabilities of our practice, particularly on the West Coast.”
Last year, the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Greene as one of the “Most Influential Minority Attorneys.” In 2018, Greene also received a “40 Under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates” award from the National Bar Association, the country’s oldest and largest national network of African-American lawyers and judges. In 2016, the National Diversity Council named her to its list of the “Top 50 Most Powerful & Influential Women in Law.”
“Tanya is an important addition to our litigation practice as we continue our growth in California,” said Hamid Namazie, managing partner of the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office. “Her experience and insight will provide powerful advantages for our clients.”
Greene’s arrival follows the recent additions of white collar partner Kevin Lally in downtown Los Angeles and labor and employment partner Remy Kessler in Century City.
“McGuireWoods has built one of the nation’s most respected litigation practices and is well known for excellence in complex, high-stakes matters,” Greene said. “I look forward to helping the firm build on its strengths in California and nationwide.”
