Vedder Price issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Eric R. McDonough has joined the firm as a Commercial Litigation Shareholder in the Los Angeles office. Mr. McDonough joins from Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he was a partner and served as Chair of the Los Angeles litigation department.
Mr. McDonough focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in trade secrets litigation and restrictive covenant claims, technology disputes, unfair competition disputes, real estate litigation, products liability and tort litigation, insurance bad faith and ERISA litigation.
Mr. McDonough has experience in all phases of civil discovery, pre-trial, trial and post-trial litigation and has defended a number of complex litigation matters in California and before the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. McDonough earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. He began his legal career as an associate at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley before his nearly 20 years at Seyfarth Shaw.
