In the Court of Appeal of the State of California, Second Appellate District, Division Eight, a lawsuit has been filed by Medallion Film LLC and others against Loeb & Loeb LLP. The court case ID is B323356 and it was filed on March 28, 2024.

The plaintiffs in this case are Medallion Film, Pelican Point Capital Partners, Jesse Kennedy, Shad Quraishi, and Ike Suri. They were represented by Eanet, Matthew L. Eanet; Benedon & Serlin, Gerald M. Serlin and Wendy S. Albers. The defendant is Loeb & Loeb LLP who was represented by Hueston Hennigan and Robert N. Klieger.

The lawsuit revolves around an agreement made in 2014 between William Sadleir (manager of Clarius Capital Group) and the plaintiffs where they would assist Clarius in obtaining funding for film projects in exchange for a portion of any funding obtained. The plaintiffs allege that Sadleir dissolved Clarius and formed new entities under the name Aviron with the assistance of Loeb & Loeb to continue marketing Clarius's film properties.

The plaintiffs are seeking judgement for alleged false representations made by Bernard Given II from Loeb & Loeb regarding the affiliation between Aviron and Clarius which led them to believe they were not entitled to payment based on their agreement with Clarius.
